Henry Cavill first played the role of Superman in 2013’s Man of Steel, followed by spots in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and then the Justice League movie

Furthermore, Warners isn't like to make a single of Superman film for 4 - 5 years, according to other source. "Superman is series, and after some runs you have to look at new actors". As such, Cavill will join Ben Affleck, who isn't expected to reprise his role for director Matt Reeves' for upcoming Batman stand-alone film, as a hero on the way out.

According to The Hollywood_Reporter, Warner Bros was hoping to enlist Cavill for a cameo in the forthcoming Shazam! .


An insider is reported to have said the studio plans to soft reboot the DC films saying: “There’s a recognition that some parts of the previous movies didn’t work.”

New WarnerMedia CEO John Stankey said on Sept 6 ,when asked about the studio at confrence he said, "Hats off to Kevin and Toby and their team". 

“While no decisions have been made regarding any upcoming Superman films, we’ve always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged”, a spokesperson confirmed.
